Aren't we scary?

Here is a picture that was taken on Halloween at our church Halloween party. Want to know the really scary thing? This is the first photo of our entire family since before Zoey was born. We hope to have some family pictures taken soon. After our last post, we noticed that we didn't have any pictures of Zoey on here, so here are some more Halloween pictures. Zoey was Cinderella, Amalie was Sleeping Beauty, Josef was a bat, Quincey was an eskimo (because it was so cold), Holli was a fairy godmother, and Amalie said Karl was the prince. I didn't get any pictures of Josef in his costume except for the church one.

Things are going well for us. Karl took his test to recieve his Idaho PLS liscense and is pretty sure he's going to pass. I'm loving being a mom. Josef is doing well in school and having a great time making new friends (his teacher had to get a new rug that had seperate squares because the other kids were fighting over who got to sit by Josef). Amalie is having a great time building inventions and cooking in her kitchen. Zoey is loving being a big sister and can always be counted on to watch Quincey or get him his pacifier. Quincey is still not sure about us, but he did just learn to smile.

Welcome to the Etna Scherbels' Blog

Ok I know that by calling ourselves the Etna Scherbels, we sound like some highfalutin' rich people (e.g. the Boston Winchesters), but we are really just using that to distinguish ourselves from all you other Scherbels. Everything has been going well for us. Last Sunday was Quincey's blessing. It was great to see so many family members. Quincey was dressed to the nines for the occasion and Amalie and Josef weren't looking too bad either. (For those of you wondering where the picture with Zoey is, she refused to have her picture taken.)

After the blessing and after most everyone left, Josef and Amalie made shields and helmets with a little help from their dad and the Rexburg Scherbels. Now they are all ready to fight a dragon with their cardboard shields and helmets. Josef even took his to school this week for show and tell.
